How to maintain the air compressor in winter?
2023-11-28
It's cold winter again. While we keep warm, how can we keep our air compressor warm and safe?
1. The influence of severe cold on air compressor
In winter, the temperature difference between day and night is relatively large, so it is necessary to drain condensed water. If it is not discharged in time, it is likely to freeze and crack the equipment in the air compressor at night. When cold air enters the air compressor, it will produce a lot of water vapor when it encounters high temperature, which will increase the burden of water vapor filtration in the air compressor. Therefore, we suggest that users should pay attention to venting all gases, discharging pollutants and discharging water after stopping cooling in winter for the normal use of the air compressor.
2. About the oil level
Before the air compressor is used, open the side plate to check whether the oil of the air compressor is thickened and frozen. If so, the oil must be heated to keep the lubricating oil in the oil pool within the scale. Before the air compressor is operated, check that the oil quantity in the oiler should not be lower than the scale line value.
3. Professional oil for air compressor
The base oil used for compressor oil has the following performance requirements: the base oil fraction should be narrow and the flash point should be appropriate to ensure the safety of use and reduce the generation of carbon deposit and the loss of oil products; Thermal oxygen stability is good, ensuring good sediment control; Sufficient viscosity-temperature performance to ensure the stability of oil film; Sufficient flow performance, reduce the wear and tear of start-stop and extreme temperature, and at the same time, it can also play a role in cooling to a certain extent.

4. Management of air compressor during shutdown
-
After the compressor stops, the gas must be discharged to the display to show 0.0bar and then the valve must be closed. Open the automatic drain valve of air compressor, air storage tank and dryer. Close after air and condensate are completely drained.
-
When it is shut down for a long time, it must be started once a week, and the above operations will be repeated after 3 hours.
-
In cold and low-temperature weather, we should always pay attention to the operation of the air compressor and do regular maintenance to prevent the failure of the air compressor to ensure the smooth production.
-
Pay attention to keep the environment clean and tidy, especially pay attention to the fact that there is no water on the ground around the air compressor to prevent freezing and slipping, which may cause the operator to fall.

Only by mastering the above steps can the air compressor not be afraid of the cold winter!
