Selection of maintenance mode of air compressor equipment
2023-12-18
The best maintenance method is to obtain the best maintenance effect with the least maintenance cost.
If measured from the aspects of maintenance cost, shutdown loss, maintenance organization and maintenance effect, each maintenance method has its advantages and disadvantages.

From the development process of the fault, there are regular faults of wear type, that is, the degree of wear is related to time. There are even random failures, that is, the probability of failure has nothing to do with time. Both of these faults include two kinds of faults: development period and non-development period.
1. Faults with regularity and development period, such as abrasion faults of connectors and tires. Because of its regularity and signs in the process of fault development, it can be predicted, observed and recorded, so preventive maintenance should be adopted. In addition, regular maintenance can also be adopted.
2. For regular faults without development period, such as fatigue fracture and damage of electrical components, it is more economical to adopt after-the-fact maintenance when they appear on key parts and components.
3. Occasional failures with development period, such as bearings, are typical. Although the failure of a bearing is random, it has a development period, and its failure symptoms can be measured and repaired or replaced in time. It is uneconomical to replace the bearing regularly according to the regulations regardless of its state.
The research results of a bearing show that the service life of each bearing is different. About 10% of the same batch of bearings are damaged in one year, while about 90% of the bearings are good, so condition-based maintenance is better.
For some parts, components and components that are easy to replace or repair, after-the-fact maintenance can also be selected when the downtime is not long and the loss is not great.
4. Occasional failures with no development period, such as sudden rupture under impact load and electrical failure, have to be repaired afterwards because there is no way to know that they will fail.
For the non-key equipment of air compressor, if the shutdown has little effect, it can be repaired urgently after the failure. As the key equipment, if the sudden shutdown of the air compressor affects the production loss greatly, spare parts must be set up, which can be replaced or substituted immediately when the fault occurs until the fault parts are repaired.
5, improved maintenance, focusing on improving the performance of the original design of institutions, components, etc., it can be used at the same time with other maintenance methods, that is, troubleshooting and improving performance at the same time in preventive maintenance or after-the-fact maintenance.

However, it is necessary to grasp the cause of the failure in advance, make preparations, and implement it during downtime or preventive maintenance
